Jimmy Sheirgill, in the 2000s, was synonymous with cuteness. Born as Jasjit Singh Gill on 3rd December 1970, the Gorakhpur boy kicked off acting career in 1996 with the critically acclaimed film Maachis, directed by Gulzar, based on the terrorism in Punjab. Ever since then, Jimmy has donned several hats and essayed many characters. From starting out as the cutest boy about town to making us fall in love with goons, he has done it all. As he prepares to headline ZEE5 Original Rangbaaz Phirse, we take a look at how he has evolved over the years on screen.
There were five fresh faces in Mohabbatein along with Jimmy stood out to be the dreamboat everyone couldn’t get enough of! He continued basking in his romantic hero image with films like Dil Hai Tumhara, Dil Vil Pyar Vyar, Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai amongst others that cemented his tag.

With critically acclaimed flicks like Haasil, Yahaan, Charas, Munna Bhai M.B.B.S., Jimmy reinvented himself as a reliable actor who could successfully add meat to the material. In a departure from his lover boy roles, he tried to experiment and we must say, left us pretty impressed too.

Jimmy then brought his badass side to the table, amping up the game with his portrayal of a hooligan/baddie in Tanu Weds Manu, Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster, Special 26 and Bullett Raja. Needless to mention, we dig his mean streak!

His innings in Bang Bang!, Madaari, Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi, and De De Pyaar De were highly underappreciated we feel. I mean, name one actor who could have added what Jimmy did to the script and screen. We will wait!
All set to embark on his new innings, Jimmy will be seen playing a Rajasthan gangster in Rangbaaz Phirse. Get ready to see him as Amarpal Singh in the upcoming ZEE5 Original.
