Saroj Khan’s demise has come as a bolt out of the blue for her favourite actress and shishya, Madhuri Dixit. The latter is finding it hard to believe that the beloved ‘Masterji’ of Bollywood is no more.

Other Bollywood actors including Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, and choreographers of Bollywood like Ahmed Khan and Shiamak Davar also shared their grief.

Saroj Khan was one of the most sought after choreographers. She made dance seem like a breeze with her unique moves and she put the actors to ease, that showed on camera when they danced to the rhythm of the songs. from ‘Masakalli’ Sonam Kapoor to ‘Ghani Bawari Ho Gayi’ Kangana Ranaut, Saroj Khan has given us immemorable dance videos.

Saroj Khan had a way of getting through the actors and making the graceful steps look ‘Oh-so-easy’ on the screen. Aishwarya Rai’s Taal is a solid example of this.

One of the yesteryear films that still rings a bell with Raveena Tandon and Akshay Kumar’s song ‘ Tip Tip Barsa Paani’. Watch the film here.

Shahrukh Khan, Apurva Agnihotri and Mahima Chaudhary’s Pardes is another gem that the choregrapher has gifted us with.
